Information on how to use it is based on clinical studies and expected guidelines. Using the penRetatrutid is injected once a week subcutaneously (under the skin). Preparation: Wash your hands and allow the pen to reach room temperature (take it out 30 minutes before use).Choose an injection site: Inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Vary the injection site each week.Cleaning: Wipe the skin with an alcohol swab.Injection:Attach a new needle and check that the medicine is clear (not cloudy).Set the dose on the pen.Hold the pen at a 90-degree angle to the skin and press the button.Important: Keep the pen in the skin for a set amount of time (approximately 6-10 seconds depending on the model) to ensure that the full dose has been delivered.Afterwards: Remove the needle and throw it away in a sharps disposal container. Note: As retatrutid is not yet officially approved, instructions may change when the final product is launched. Always follow your doctor's specific instructions.
DOSAGE SCHEDULE
Recommended dosageInjection per week:
- Week 1-2, 0.25 mg = 6 clicks. Start dose.
- Week 3-4, 0.5 mg = 12 clicks. Lowers the appetite.
- Week 5-6, 1 mg = 24 clicks. Clear effect.
- Week 7-8, 1.5 mg = 36 clicks. For most people this is enough.
- Week 9-10, 2 mg = 48 clicks. Often enough
- Week 11-12, 2.25 mg = 54 clicks. For those who want to increase.
- Week 13-14, 2.5 mg = 60 clicks. Max dose.
- For some, the maximun dose is already reached at 1,5 to 2mg.
